Battlefield 6 for PlayStation 5

After Battlefield 2042 grew away from the series' roots into a fictional future setting that afforded players hero-shooter-like special abilities, Battlefield 6 promises a return to core values. The sprawling 128-player maps are gone, replaced by much more focused (and, let's be honest, still very epic) 64-player battles. The slightly odd abilities are replaced by a much more grounded quartet of soldier classes. Everything is tighter, more focused, and has a renewed emphasis on wood-splintering, glass-shattering, concrete-crumbling destruction. It's a globetrotting affair, with a conflict with a shadowy private military corporation taking you from the Sahara to Cairo to New York to Iran. Battlefield Portal expands the action even further by offering up a sandbox in which you can build out maps and even create your own game mode with NPC scripting and a customizable UI. On the ground, Battlefield 6 tightens the bond between you and your avatar thanks to its new Kinesthetic Combat System. Gunplay and tactical movement have been overhauled, with the goal being to make controlling your soldier instinctive and precise. It's not just about boots on the ground, though. Hop into vehicles for a fully immersive battlefield experience and wreak havoc on the landscape to create a tactical advantage. Jets scream overhead, rockets boom past, buildings shed walls like dead skin. This is Battlefield 6.
